PPEU Media Meeting - 20 April 2021 Participants: Lukáš Doležal (PPCZ), Petr Kocourek, Olivia (PPUS), Niki Riss, Mickey (PPDE), Daniel Mönch (PPDE), Honza Mareš (PPCZ), Mia Utz, Mikuláš Peksa (PPCZ, PPDE), Henrik (PPSE) Agenda: 1. Petr's idea, content on PPEU social profiles Petr: Idea that it could increase our reach, effective strategy. Niki: Mikuláš asked me to do some social media structure. There is lot of delegation content. Petr: Lets focus on content, list of websites, sources, content generating strategy. Niki: Happy to see the structure, but I am allowed only to delegation stuff. Olivia: PPEU needs writers like every party does writers are the key to content. Niki: Lets rectuit Young Pirates. Lukáš: they should be here, but they are not :). Bastian: Lets start with Facebook. PPEU is not able to produce own content. Mikuláš: the Petr idea was iniatiated by Olivia. Niki: there is not much content except PPEU. Mickey: calendar for ethical celebrations. Mikuláš: we dont have paid people who would produce the content. Not sure if our members are aware that can help us with the content. We should stimulate them. We could ask David Wagner. Lukáš: Is enought to let people know about the media meeting just via mailing lists and mattermost? Mikuláš: Yes, it is enough. Is someone willing to create videos? Bastian: We have money, there are a lot of questions. It is the decision of the board. We need concept first. Mikuláš: Agree with Bastian. Besides freedom to share there is no project to put forward. Petr: It goes to the same direction as I thought. Lukáš: what about someting like Pirátské listy? Mikuláš: there was meeting regarding Pirate times. Bastian: we work on several platform. Mikuláš: it should one English mutation, covering topics internationally. Petr: I would put it my ideas on paper. If we could put some sources on twitter it could be the begining of the skeleton. Olivia: Parties will not send one of their Pirates to write for us. So the easiest way they would is if we pick a specific hashtag and tell them it has to be in English. When I used to do that for PPI, #VotePirate got at least a dozen tweets a day. But others might see that as spam. Mikuláš: The aim is to create a hub. 2. New Website - proposal Mikuláš: Website uses WordPress, there are some restrictions. There is one volunteer but needs job description and we agreed to contact different teams about their opinions regarding the website - what should be there. Honza: We revolve in certain points, I recently asked Patrick regarding the content sharing. Lukáš: we should have something like 10 pirate commandments on the main site. Henrik: it is the Pirate wheel. Mikuláš: Statues, Manifesto and election programme should be on the main site. Mikuláš: better to merge all the content.
